Does self pity leads to depression??

She used to say, ''MY WORLD IS BLACK.''


Although, she was my class-mate since we were in our 1st grade but I always used to hate her for no reasons at all, common right???
(we all have that one class-mate or any other child from same age group whom we hate,not knowing why??)

Well well well...coming back,so she was in her teenage when one day we heard that''SARAHAS TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE.''
(*not her real name)

We were all astonished, her family was shocked and disturbed. At that time I thought I should become her friend.I wanted to know what she thinks and why she tried to commit suicide????

Eventually, after a real struggle(yeah..I mean it) I somehow became close to her and I get to know about her.She had a loving father and mother, an elder sister, no money issues, not any type of relationship issues between her parents or family.But the thing was,her mother was also a working woman and her sister was a university student, so nobody was there to talk to her, to pay her attention, to praise her work or simply understand her.

So basically what I concluded was, she was lacking attention and that's why she was self pitying herself.Self pity implies the sense of social failurepersonal failure and most importantly, spiritual failure.

Self pity leads to depression so don't take it easy.

After a lot of research on her condition on internet I created my own psychological therapy for her.
let's have a look at it,

   1.Connect with NATURE:

    Wake up early in morning, offer prayers and watch the rising of sun.Take a plant or simply take a pot and grow a plant,water it daily,look after it and you will feel amazing.If it doesn't work then try talking with the plants.It will definitely make you feel better (plants are amazing friends after all).

         2. Write Diary daily:

    At the end of the day write at least one page of your diary about how was your day or how you felt today it will help you sort out your feelings.



    Believe me writing diary feels like someone is there for us, to hear our problems.

     3.Think about the less blessed people:

    So yeah...!! you are not the most depressed person of the world because think about the people who have bigger problems, who are dying with extreme diseases and don't have enough money for their treatment.
    Literally I have seen those people with my eyes who don't have anything to eat so they eat rotten bread with liquid medicines(which came for the aid).

    Think about those people and look at yourself, compere yourself with them, you have things to eat, a house for living, your family for love and support, and most importantly you have your own self for you. If no one cares about you so what..??? You have to care about yourself.

     4. Care about yourself:
    No one loves you.....???
    No problem LOVE YOURSELF.......Try healing yourself.
    Take deep breaths and try to start your life with new passion....It's your life no one has right to live it but you.......!!!!!
    • take good sleep.
    • exercise daily.(or three to four times in a week)
    • intake good/healthy food.(vitamin B3,fish oil,green vegetable)
    • ignore people because they are there just to disturb you....

         5. Build relationship with family and friends:

    • Try to talk to your family,(parents,siblings) or of coarse your friends about your day or any special event that happened with you that day, or simply ask them about their day.It will divert your mind and when you will get to know about their problems you will also try to sort out them.
    •  you can simply help your mother with her house work.
    • you can play board games with your father .
    • you can help your siblings with their homework assignments.
    • or just simply smile whenever anyone look at you.

          6. Set goals:


    set some goals for yourself firstly try to achieve smaller goals then the bigger ones.
    smaller goals for example:
    • I have to complete this assignment today. 
    • I have to try(at least) to talk to her/him.
    • I have to wake up early in the morning tomorrow.
    or some bigger goals like:
    • I have to have a job by next month.

    May be life is not a pleasant gift for you  but so what.....??? You are the owner of your life and you have only two choices:

    1.Stand up and fight.
      or
    2.keep sitting on the place you are sitting at right now and keep grieving your life. 
      Now it's up to you whether you yourself will lead your life or some fool grief will lead you to death........

      If no one is present I am here for you, tell me your issues n I will try to sort them out for you.
