It was the morning of 28th of may 2018 and 11th of Islamic month of Ramadan, when we were on final stages of packing of suitcases(it was high time, I constantly felt that I am forgetting something and ufff it was definitely not a good feeling....!!) as me and my family were going to perform Umrah......
and around 6 o'clock in evening our suitcases were out of our room and my elder brother put them in the car trunk.
We were all set to go...!
On the way to airport I was very excited, although it was not my first Umrah but the happiness, excitement and emotions remains the same every time.......
Around 6:35 pm we were at airport, our flight was of 10:30 pm so we just sat there in the garden and did aftari(broke our fast) and offered Maghrib prayer, by then it was already 7:40 pm. We entered in the airport and after emigration we offered Isha prayer and taraveeh n waited in the waiting lounge.
Finally....boarding started and we boarded the plane.....!!
It was mid night around 11:45 pm(Pakistan timing) when we reached Dubai International Airport where we had a stay of 2 hours.
Dubai International Airport
We relaxed there a little and had a cup of tea.
As we didn't put our Ahrams so we put our Ahrams and did Neeyat (intension) for Umrah and offered 2 rikats of Nawafil.
And finally we head off to Saudi Arabia, and reached Jeddah International Airport at 3:35 am(Pakistan timings), after immigration we took our luggage offered Fajar prayer and exited the airport, where buses were already present to take pilgrims to Mekkah. We took a bus and reached Mekkah.
It was morning around 9 o'clock when we reached our hotel.......yesss we finally reached there...
This was our hotel....
Millennium Tower Mekkah
and this was our room...
we were at 23rd floor that's why the view from the window looked like...
We rested for a while in those comfy beds....(actually nooooo, not for a while, we rested really long but ofcourse we offered prayers during that while......) as we were all fasting so no worries of making or having meals. There were some room issues which took our whole evening.
Now we were free from everything, we had already rested, had our Aftari and we were fresh...
So we headed out to Masjid e Haram....
It was Isha time and the Azaan was echoing everywhere, it was a breathtaking moment as everyone was going toward Haram even the shop keepers, there shops remained open, were putting their mussalah in front of their shops for salat.
As our hotel was zero meters from Haram so the way was short but every step for me felt heavy......My heart was beating hard and tears were slipping my eyes as I was going to see Kabah again after 3 years. I was reciting duas and wasn't listening to anything as I was feeling numb. When we reached the gate of Masjid I took off my slippers and the beautiful white marble were laid before me I stepped on them move forward, my gaze downward and then my mother told me to look up and..and..
and there it was...The Holy KABAH.....
As huge as always, so big, so bright and the breathtaking combo of black and golden which took my heart away as always.....and there I was standing in front of Kabah, speechless, my mind wasn't thinking of anything and I felt like I am talking to Allah........
Haram at 2:00am
Check out the crowd.......
Someone has said very true:
"They say New York City never sleeps they haven't seen Mekkah yet."
The backside of Saee
It took us about 3 hours and we were done performing Umrah, Alhamd u lillah.
The biggest clock of the world
The Clock Tower
That day was indeed one of the best days of my life....those were the best moments of my life. Those were the blessed and blissful moments.........
Afterward we offered the Isha prayers and taraweeh and then started to perform Umrah.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have said that :"whoever performed Umrah during the month of Ramadan is like he perfotmed hajj with me (prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him))
And this is what it looks like sitting on the floor in front of Kabah, it feels simple, it feels like we all are equal before Allah....
Thanks to ALMIGHTY ALLAH who gave us guidance grace.
